The setting is a large 980 hectare estate through undulating small valleys. The immediate main characteristic factor is its large greens which place a demand on good putting skills as they are often raised above the fairway approach and involve several levels. Also, the accuracy of the player's shot will be called to question by deep aggressive bunkers.

  • Gramacho Golf Course

    • Nick Price, the former world No.1 player, has teamed up with the well-known golf course architect, Ronald Fream, to create a uniquely designed 18 hole course with 27 varied greens that enable the golfer to play the same course several times with different greens and new challenges.

The design technique has positioned the greens and protective bunkers so that an 18 hole round is a genuine challenge. The positioning of the tee markers helps to increase this variety still further. This course is maintained at tournament standard all year round.

  • Vale da Pinta Golf Course

    • The Pinta Course is one of the best-designed courses in Europe. It is a Championship course with an exceptional layout designed by the famous American golf course architect, Ronald Fream, and inaugurated in 1992. It has earned a deserved reputation for the outstanding level course maintenance and design, which makes it a challenge to golfers of all standards.

The Pinta Course was host to the Seniors Tour 5 consecutive times. The fairways are Bermuda grass, whilst strategically positioned sand bunkers protect the greens, clad in Pen Cross Bent, and two ornamental lakes influence play at four different holes around the course.

With its large contoured greens, tall trees, lakes and sand traps it provides a real challenge whatever standard of golf you play. As well as being an ideal course for family golf and beginners, scratch and low handicap players use the course to sharpen up their iron play and short game. If you are a beginner there is no place better to learn to play golf than in the relaxed atmosphere of Vale de Milho Golf Club.

  • Silves Golf Course

    • Silves is a serene spot, but the course is anything but the proverbial walk in the park. Target golf reigns supreme. A drive at the opening hole has to flirt with two water hazards on both flanks. A heroic and straight shot will reward the player with an easy uphill approach shot. Silves encourages and rewards attacking play. It has a natural beauty and an elegant design. The excellent condition, all year round, is ideal for low scoring. A relentless test in precision, this course has no peers. It is the 'archetype' of man-sized parkland golf.

Rocky outcrops, meandering watercourses and views to the distant mountains and orange groves define its essential character. The course opens with a testing uphill, Par-4, offering a number of 'risk reward' opportunities. The downhill, Par-5, fourth encounters a meandering watercourse, which comes into play on three of the front 9 holes and two of the inward.
